This course provides students with knowledge of the processes and methods used in designing, producing, and promoting publishing products. They will gain a general understanding of creating and managing digital publications, including electronic journals, e-books, and websites. Students will also learn the basic structure of HTML5 elements, CSS3 properties, and the technologies used in EPUB 2 e-books.

By the end of the course, students will:

  • Understand the differences between static and dynamic web pages, the functioning of the World Wide Web, and best practices in web design.
  • Analyze and structure content for web pages or EPUB2 e-books from a semantic, technical, and aesthetic perspective.
  • Apply their knowledge by writing HTML5 and CSS3 code, using tools for static web development, publishing websites, and creating EPUB2 e-books.
