This course explores the fundamental terms of Art History and analyzes art through major works of architecture, painting, sculpture, and miniature art.

It presents artistic developments from antiquity to the early 20th century, using illustrative materials and numerous examples of paintings, sculptures, miniature art objects, and buildings. Through these examples, students engage with this significant field and compare different forms of artistic expression.

The main objectives of the course are to provide an understanding of the key concepts in art history, trace the stages of artistic development from antiquity to the present, and analyze the defining characteristics of major art movements from each period through the works of renowned artists.
