Ioannis D. Triantafyllou holds a Ph.D. from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and is currently a Professor in the Department of Archival, Library & Information Studies at the University of West Attica.He has previously worked as a research associate in many European and Greek research projects at the Institute for Language and Speech Processing (ILSP) / Athena Research Center and the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS), as well as in research projects of the department (CrossCult-Horizon2020).In addition to teaching undergraduate courses, he also teaches in the department’s postgraduate program “Information Management in Cultural Heritage.” His research interests and publications cover areas such as information retrieval, artificial intelligence & machine learning, automated categorization & classification of documents, knowledge management & big data, management & exploitation of terminological data & ontologies, automatic summarization, translation memories, etc. A detailed list of his publications, research projects, studies, etc., can be found on his website.
