This course “Intoduction to Academic Writing”explores the fundamental principles of academic writing, equipping students with the cognitive and linguistic skills needed to produce scholarly work, whether for an assignment, thesis, or postgraduate dissertation. Through structured, hands-on exercises, students will develop the ability to construct clear, well-organized, and academically rigorous texts.
The course provides practical training in key aspects of academic writing, including sentence structure, style, logical organization, and precise language use—essential for analytical and critical thinking. A central goal is to strengthen students’ writing skills at every stage of the research process: critically evaluating sources, organizing their study, selecting research methods, analyzing and interpreting data, synthesizing conclusions, and refining their final text. In addition to writing skills, students will also develop essential presentation techniques, enabling them to effectively communicate their research findings.
