This course provides an overview of diverse technologies employed by museums globally, with a focus on enhancing visitor experiences and addressing their needs.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will have acquired the following:

  • Understanding of the potential applications of technology in museums.
  • Knowledge of the fundamental functionalities necessary for digital museum infrastructure.

Comprehension:

  • Comprehension of the dynamics of digital museums and the capabilities of technological infrastructure across a range of digital museum applications (websites, social media, games, representation technologies, spatial navigation, etc.).

Analysis – Synthesis:

  • Ability to analyze the presentation needs of a digital museum.

Ability to develop a strategic plan for the creation and development of a digital museum.
