Tasos Michailidis is a Laboratory Teaching Staff at the Department of Archival, Library and Information Studies of the University of West Attica and a post-doctoral researcher in Modern Greek Literature at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). He collaborated with the Institute of Educational Policy (IEP) as an associate and co-author of the New Curriculum (2021) as well as Trainer A’ in the subject of Literature. In addition, since 2020 he has taught as a Collaborating Teaching Staff member the module “Literary Theory and Creative Writing of the master’s programmeCreative Writing of the Hellenic Open University and the University of Western Macedonia. He studied Philology at the University of Crete, continued his postgraduate studies in Modern Greek Literature at NKUA, where he obtained his PhD in 2016. His research interests focus on Modern Greek Literature, Literary Theory, Cultural History, Reading Literacy and Creative Writing. His papers have been published in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, he has been a reviewer of papers in conferences, while he is an active member of scientific associations in his field. He had served in state secondary education until 2021 and he is the assistant editor of the new journal of the European Society of Comparative Literature, CompLit: Journal of European Literature, Arts and Society, JESCL.
