Christos Chrysanthopoulos is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Archival, Library and Information Studies at the University of West Attica. He holds a master’s degree in information management in Libraries, Archives, and Museums (2023) and a bachelor’s degree from the same department, which he earned through graduate placement examinations in 2021. He completed his PhD in Digital and Public History at the Department of History and Archaeology (formerly Department of Cultural Heritage Management and New Technologies) at the University of Patras in 2025, as a fellow of the university’s “C. Caratheodoris” Basic Research Funding Programme. He also holds two additional master’s degrees: in Adult Education from the Hellenic Open University (2020), and in Modern and Contemporary History from Panteion University (2012). He earned his first degree in History from the Department of History, Archaeology and Social Anthropology at the University of Thessaly (2009). He has worked in universities and research institutes as well as in cultural, public benefit and educational organizations, assuming roles that span a broad range of activities − from research, digital curation and teaching to project/grants management and communication. His academic trajectory reflects an interdisciplinary profile that brings together historical research and archival practices with digital technologies and, more broadly, the digital humanities, while also including active participation in creative and artistic collectives. Since 2022, he has been working at the Institute of Historical Research of the National Hellenic Research Foundation as a member of the Specialized Scientific and Technical Personnel, with a focus on the Humanities and a specialization in project and funding management.
