Course Tutors
Upon completing the course, students should have acquired:
- Basic knowledge on the delineation, typology, and functioning of audiovisual archives, with a focus on their differentiated management by the archivist/archival institution.
- Through understanding the terminology and methodology followed, as well as knowledge of international standards, students will grasp the basic principles of classification, operation, and preservation of such archives, aiming to apply them in their scientific work. Furthermore, they will be able to search for updated materials, refining their technical knowledge based on information and communication technologies.
The ultimate goal of the course is to develop students’ ability to synthesize theory with practice and generate cognitive structures that foster personal growth.
Students will evaluate both the content of the course and the adequacy of its delivery by the instructor, as well as their own responses, contributing to feedback on emerging issues and refining the way these topics are presented and negotiated.
